Seriously?
I posted this link of facebook, this was what happened next.
Her:
It’s been proven in recent studies that, although organics are grown pesticide free, they really aren’t any more nutritous than other food of the same kind that are not organically grown. Been watching the health channel lately trying to get weight loss tips. I’m all up to par on that stuff :)
Me:

Ba Ba Baaaaaaa
I am the black sheep among the family I married into. I do not eat the way they do. I do not believe in what they believe in. I do not support what they support and they make sure I know it.
I am my own person who has her own ideas and own opinions and they can’t stand that. My mother in law can’t stand me and quite frankly the feeling is mutual. According to my DH his fathers side...

Different
My house is always a mess. I try to get after the boys but they are boys and I am the minority. I try to ignore the mess and I get depressed but if I took the time to clean like I want I would have no time with my boys and no time in the kitchen. I want a clean house, I want it to look like the house that I am proud to live in, but I am tired and want to go to bed.

A Blended Family in more ways than one
I have created a new phrase for myself “Vegon.” Let me explain:
I have been a Vegetarian since the age of 18 and was a Vegan for a year before my husband and I started dating in 2001. He was and still is a carnivore and when we decided to move in together and later get married I made a compromise. I stopped being Vegan on my own accord, it never crossed his mind for me to change, I...

Almost 3,000 words...
I was a fat kid. Not just heavy, or plump or chubby, I was FAT! I don’t know where or how it started. I know that I was a 7lb 7 oz newborn, was an active toddler and youngster but then something happened. I swelled up. I think it was around the fourth grade and as I am writing this it just hit me, the fourth grade, what happened? My parents got divorced. I never thought it really had an effect on...

Coversations with my middle son:
Talking to Connor about Christmas:
Connor:I did a circle map today about Fall. I like Fall.
Me: Why do you like Fall?
Connor: Because it means Halloween and Christmas are coming.
Me: You like Halloween and Christmas?
Connor: I like Christmas
Me: Why?
Connor: Because its cold, it snows and I get presents!
Me: Do you remember why we celebrate Christmas? Do you remember whose birthday it is?

Faith and lack there of...
I don’t know if I commend those who have faith or condemn those who have faith. I have never been a religious person, even when attending Catholic church and functions as I kid, I was never fully there. I am around those with faith and I don’t get it, I just don’t. I read blogs of those who put the fate of their very sick children in the hands of Gods will; seriously? It’s...
Thankful or Selfish
I don’t know which I am, or if I am both and if being both is okay. I have read and am reading blogs of mothers with sick children, some who have lost children and I can’t help but be thankful that my boys are okay. I have gone through some rough times, especially with Wyatt and the seizure deal but for the most part I have healthy hearty boys who drive me crazy. I can’t imagine...
Song for a Fifth Child
by Ruth Hulburt Hamilton
Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth, Empty the dustpan, poison the moth, Hang out the washing and butter the bread, Sew on a button and make up a bed. Where is the mother whose house is so shocking? She’s up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I’ve grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue (Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo). Dishes are waiting and bills are...

A roach is a roach, of course
I once again feel compelled to talk about bugs. I just don’t like ‘em. They have too many legs, more than any one creature should have. They have antennae that grow longer than their entire body. The eyes, holy freaking hell the eyes. I shudder thinking about the eyes.
As much as I hate bugs, there was one time; I repeat one, in my life that I didn’t kill a bug. This bug...
In the office
L: I have to tell you what I bought this weekend!
Me: Okay, what did you buy?
L: I got a belt buckle that is a knife!
Me: A what? Why?
L: It's so cool. It's this belt buckle and it's all magnetic and it folds under itself and is a knife. So when you need a knife, you just whip it out and there you have it. Everyone needs a knife, and it will come in handy.
Me: Yeah, if you are fighting crime!
L: You just wait, you are going to miss out on the bandwagon and this is going to be huge! They guy who sold it to me told me...
Me: Man, he must have seen you coming a MILE away!
L: I am going to get me another one and my husband one too.
Me: Yes, and you can put yours on your utility belt and your husband can wear his as he rides in the side car.
L: Oh! And did I tell you, it sharpens itself in the belt buckle too!
Me: I hope all men who wear one are very careful. We wouldn't want a accidental castration.
L: It will really come in handy; walking in the parking lot at night I could defend myself.
Me: But what if the magnet sticks and the assailant grabs it before you and says "AH HA!!!"
L: You are no fun!
Me: Yes, I know.
Me getting Wyatt to say “I love you.” He loves to yell it instead.
Home
There is a part of the day that I enjoy. It’s about 5 minutes before I get home. In the car alone, but usually on the phone (bad Sara). There is a peace. A peace that I have finished the work day and can leave it behind. A peace regarding the males that are home waiting for me, even though they can be unruly, they are waiting for me. This peace washes over me, makes me content and happy...
Football
I am an analytical person. At times this serves me well, at times it does not. In the dating days of Robert and Sara, I realized that if I was going to be spending all of my time with this man, I should try to enjoy the things that he enjoys. The thing he happened and happens to enjoy most of all: football, namely the Denver Broncos. One Sunday afternoon I decided to settle in next to him on the...

Dragonflies
Among many things in my life that I am obsessed with, insects are one of them. Dragonflies hold a special place in my psyche. I am not obsessed in a Trekkie kind of way, I am obsessed in the way that while they fascinate me with their beauty, they also scare the crap out of me. I am not a fan of insects, even beautiful Dragonflies.
Point in fact: one morning say, about 10 years ago I was...
